About the New Zealand Rabbit Council

The Rabbit Council of New Zealand Inc. is an organisation whose objectives are:

To protect, further and co-ordinate the interest of all New Zealand rabbit breeders.
To assist and extend the exhibition of rabbits.
To promote the use of rabbit wool (specifically Angora and Cashmere wool) in production, focus on its unique properties, ethical sourcing, and sustainable practices.
To foster the improvement of all rabbit breeds, and provide a unified body whose collective voice has a benefical effect on rabbits in New Zealand
Encourage and maintain the qualities of recognised breeds.
